In addition to the De Blob sequel we recently reported on, gamers can look forward to future installments of Darksiders, Saint’s Row, Warhammer, and Red Faction: Guerrilla.
These titles come on top of THQ’s many licensed properties. In addition to these, THQ has the exclusive worldwide rights to develop games based on upcoming DreamWorks Animation films Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom and Puss in Boots, not to mention the Nickelodeon series The Penguins of Madagascar. Let’s not forget about the WWE. Or THQ’s agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer Products to develop games based on Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
By no means a complete accounting of upcoming THQ titles, this is still an ambitious list. But THQ has had a good year. Said President and CEO Brian Ferrell in his February 3rd conference call to investors,
Red Faction: Guerrilla turned up on a lot of best of 09 lists. Darksiders seems to have come from nowhere, and gotten a really positive response. What do you think? Are you ready for more from these series, or should THQ stick to their bread-and-butter liscenced games?
De Blob will release for the Wii in THQ’s fiscal 2011.
Red Faction: Guerrilla will release for the PS3 and XBOX 360 in THQ’s fiscall 2011.
Saint’s Row and Darksiders will release for the PS3 and XBOX 360 in THQ’s fiscal 2012.
